The Macaron collection wins the Best Furniture category at the prestigious international award recognising and rewarding the excellence in interior design within the cruise ships industry, the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards 2020.
A prestigious jury of 10 experts and Interior Design directors has selected the collection. designed for Piaval by arch. Laura Silvestrini - armchair, lounge and sofa – because:
“it combines Italian design with an extraordinary level of comfort”.
The nomination came from Miami and the award recognizes Piaval's continuous research and its ability to innovate by combining the culture of well-being, design, craftmanship and the choice of sustainable materials and manufacturing.

Two perfectly calibrated volumes give life to the unique profile of Macaron.
The first is the shell - padded, intimate and enveloping - supported at the base by a curved wooden profile that characterizes the aesthetics of the entire seat and traces a sign that ends in the front legs.
The second is composed of the seat, where the rear legs are inserted: its structure is a perfect circle on which rests a soft cushion, round itself.
