The Waldkrankenhaus in Eisenberg in the heart of Thuringia (Germany) is the biggest and most important orthopedic hospital in Europe, whose outstanding architecture and interiors were developed by Matteo Thun&Partners Studio and furnished with our collections Earl and Elsa.
Interior design intended as research of harmony and tool for taking care, able to reduce the hospitalization and speed up the recovery, is the philosophy that guided the architect Matteo Thun. A philosophy well shared and expressed by Piaval products.
Earl and Elsa collection have been chosen to furnish some spaces of this beautiful building, designed as a hotel and equipped with 240 sleeping accommodations.
Earl chair is made entirely in solid curved beech wood, it has a shaped backrest for an easy grip and handling and it’s stackable. It is light in its shape, subtle in its depth but highly resistant.
Elsa chair (rounded version), with and without armrests has a padded seat and a wooden backrest. The armrests slightly open outwards guarantee an unexpected comfort. The legs are round, and it is stackable. Simple lines and a sleek design hide a strong structure and fit any circumstance.
